Not really - it feels like a pinch! The needle is small, thin, and it goes by quickly, which decreases the possibility of pain. No numbing agents are needed.

There’s virtually zero downtime with these treatments. Neuromodulators are often referred to as a “lunchtime procedure” since most patients return directly to work or resume normal activity immediately. Some redness and swelling may occur at the injection sites, but it usually subsides within a few hours. Very rarely, patients may experience minor bruising.

Results typically last around 3-6 months, depending on the location of the treatment, your muscle activity and your body’s individual response.

While Botox® and Dysport® are both injectables (specifically, botulinum toxin injections) used to treat and prevent wrinkles, their chemical compositions are slightly different which can make one more effective than the other at specific injection sites. We recommend talking to our staff to understand which product is the best fit for you!

Neurotoxin injections are very common, low risk procedures. Headache, minor bruising, or swelling at the injection site are the most common, but still rare. As with any treatment, there are always risks which your nurse injector will walk you through prior to treatment.
